Smashed 520 screen

My son manged to smash the screen of his TT 520 traffic as he slid the drivers seat. Does anybody have any idea how much to repair?

Contact satnav-shop who are well recommended by others on this forum. I think they may well even give you a quote or tentative estimate in advance.

Thanks so much. I have emailed TomTom today with a picture of the screen. I will see if they are reasonable. Somebody wrote a review on the Amazon site with a simmilar problem and they repaired his free of charge!

I emailed sat-nav shop this afternoon and he emailed back straight away with a quote of £90. I'm not saying that that is unreasonable, but it certainly is uneconomical when you consider that this model has come down to around £100-120, but it was worth a try. I will wait for a response ffrom TomTom and call it a day.

Yes, I can understand that. I guess the quote would probably have been the same £90 for a screen for the 920, or 930, which are much higher in the price range, but from the point of view of screen replacement I suppose they are identical. One thing of course, you got a very quick turn round response there.

Mind you, I don't think you'd find many 520s for sale these days, so £90 may be economical against the price of a new something else?
