Hello all
I know this is a silly question but why does the TT One V4 have the Buddies icon etc, and when clicking it asks to connect the TMC reciever?

It is for people with a HD Traffic receiver located in Holland where the Buddies feature will work via the GPRS system within the HD Traffic receiver, it is currently useless within the UK as no such accessory exists - Mike |

Ok, shame they don't sell it in the UK. _________________ Wayne

I think I have read somewhere that they have said it won't be sold in the UK, but they could make an about-turn on such a decision at some future point - the HD Traffic system is currently working in the UK but is only available for users of the x40 which have an integral receiver - Mike |

I was in the process of buying a 540 from Handtec (£221), but a friend bought me a TT One and can't appear to be ungrateful . Which has thrown my idea of owning a 540 into a mess.
I know if I get my friend in holland to buy me a HD reciever it won't work in the UK as the sim does not have roaming enabled. However I wonder if a UK voda sim would work?
Looking at the settings in the 540 TT have their own server connected direct to Voda creating a VPN network. _________________ Wayne

Putting a UK sim into the HD Traffic receiver won't work as the SIM ID is known, change that and it won't work.
If you want Traffic on your One you could always purchase the mini USB equipped RDS-TMC receiver which will plug in to your One and provide Traffic data to the device - Mike |
