I wanted the HTC Touch HD. At the time of writing it is only available on Orange UK, but I wanted a TMobile contract and didn't want to wait.

Found Expansys via Google but the offered Combi 30 tariff was not what I wanted. A guy called Chris put a package together for the unlocked Touch HD on my requested Combi 15 W&W tariff. After doing the maths I rang back and placed the order and watched the stock tracker.

Reportedly, such is demand, there is a long lead time for the Touch HD from anywhere other than Orange. The "in stock" tracker counted from 3 days, to 6 days, to 1 day, to 3 days, to 5 days. I had seen this movie before.

Chris offered an explanation of outsourced warehousing. I never expected a fast delivery, but I feared I was in for a long wait.

It actually turned up on a Saturday 9 days after placing the order. Now that doesn't seem spectacular, but this is substantially quicker than guys on another forum are experiencing with other vendors.

Each person I spoke to was pleasant and helpful, picked up the call quickly, this spared me the tacky musical onslaught you hear when waiting.

So a sound recommendation for www.Expansys.com but pay little heed to the tracking system.

I use Expansys all the time and highly recommend them. Return policy, if needed, is excellent and usually very quick and secure delivery.
