GPS Logger (Advice/Suggestions)

Hello All,

New to this board, and I've been agonizing over a data logger, primarily for geotagging. There are a dizzying array of manufacturers (Amod, GiSTEQ, Gosget, i.Trek, Mavin, Royaltek, etc., etc.), non of whom I am familiar with, nor do you hear much about in "mainstream" technology reviews (CNET, etc.). I have heard the GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr Lite recommended via TWIT (http://twit.tv/), so I'm thinking about pulling the trigger. However, Semsons (http://www.semsons.com/) seems to be one of the better places for deals, and I thought about buying one of the "mid-range" models on sale. However, I really don't know which specifications are critical, or more importantly, if hardware from a particular manufacturer is as good as claimed. I have three questions (and I have searched these forums, Google, etc., but generally have come up empty-handed):

1. What are the most critical performance specifications, for a device that will primarily be used for photo-tagging?
2. Are there any companies, models one would recommend in particular, or conversely, recommend against? (I've been most seriously considering models from Amod, i.Trek, Royaltek in the $30-$50 range as a secondary).
3. Any recommendations for a FAQ or good comparisons of specifications?
