|
|
I was about to check and mark for removal some speed cameras and also check/add a new Karting track POI.
I have used the map search option but been advised with the message
"Sorry, this Module isn't active"
Any ideas when the map search option is going to be active again?
The deleted cameras incidentally are the average specs cameras on the M4 between J13 and J14 - the 50mph signs are still present but the cameras were not present this morning.

Is that the East as you look at the map the right way up, or the wrong way up? Have you got one of your devices set to upsidedownmode? _________________ Dennis

Mike
On the camera submission page:-
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras&op=SubmitCamera
I have entered within the field at the bottom of the page titled "Find a location" the text of Newbury and clicked the Find button to the right.
Bottom left of the screen shows a yellow triangle with an black explanation mark and the message "Error on page".
If I enter Newbury and key return with the "Find" button not in focus it flashes up with about 3 messages at the bottom of the screen, they go so fast it is difficult to see but one clearly refers to somethings with ads?
I can only assume therefore it is something being blocked by my work systems. A pity since I always use the "Find a location" option when submitting camera/POI's.
I will try again later this week from work - I am home based currently.

Try just double clicking the map to zoom in to the area of interest, I only ever use the search options by camera ID when I need to - Mike |

I think only the Moguls and Gurus and Screwdriverhands get the camera ID option Mike.
However, Newbury does seem to be a peculiarity - when I type Newbury into the Find a Location box and click Find (or simply hit Enter), I'm dropped at a road location near West Ilsley about 10 miles due north of Newbury (J13 M4) (That's the north that's at the top when you look at the map the right way up )
Mike37 does the Find Location box work with another town name? It did with all others I tried. _________________ Dennis

I have had this error a couple of times when using my pc at work, before I had set it up to remember my PGPSW login and password.
As soon as I shut Internet Explorer down, restarted and logged in evrything was OK. Hope this helps. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

top right of the submission form allows you to search for the camera id and this then fills out all the current details into the form

The submission map is playing up a bit at the moment, I have had the "Sorry, this Module isn't active" message today but when I re-tried the same search it worked. I did notice that there was no map displayed at all before I did the first search, normally a map of the entire UK is displayed at that point.
There have also been problems searching with co-ordinates entered in the search box, these problems are detailed in another thread, it only seems able to find co-ordinates that are in the sea.
Using IE7. _________________ Paul |

All my results OK in Firefox.
Find a Location - "Newbury" just worked fine for me (it went to Latitude: 51.541654 Longitude: -1.33338)
Find a Location - entered co-ordinates, also worked fine, although apparently there is a new problem with IE and/or Google and negative numbers for Longitude. |

...and Latitude - just any negative values... nothing has changed though at our end so can only assume google changing things again...!

Negative values work for me provided they are over the sea. MaFt do you get the same result or is yours any negative value? |

DennisN
I have tried a few other places such as Exeter and Glasgow and both report the same problem as when I entered Newbury.
I also think from memory that the UK map was shown as a default when entering the submit page for cameras whereas now it is blank.
I use incidentally IE7 on Vista.
I can confirm too that I am logged in when trying this.

I have no problem with negative values in either Firefox or IE7.
50.7218, -3.533617 gives me Exeter, and -33.9690, 18.5926 Cape Town Airport. _________________ Anita
