|
|
Hello
I wonder if someone could help me. I've subscribed to PGPSW cameras but I seem to be getting warnings and icons for the 'wrong' direction of travel. In other words, I get a warning beep when approaching some cameras that are on the other side of the road, but no beep whatsoever when I'm approaching a camera on the same side of the road. This just seems to be a bit random in some parts of Edinburgh. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks a lot for your help. |

Hi Darren
It's a 265t. It applies to, for example, camera 9445@@40, which is at the foot of Drum Brae North in Edinburgh. My nuvi doesn't see it when going westwards, but eastwards, and the camera is for the traffic going westwards.
To download, I select Garmin PoiLoader, UK speed zoned complete.
Thanks for your help. |

I've tested this camera location and it works on my Nuvi 760T in both directions. The POI marker is slightly towards the North of the junction so it might be better if you used the Submission page to submit a correction to the cameras actual location. Perhaps this explains why it works in some directions and not others. |

Thanks a lot PaulB2005! You've been very helpful. The question is, should I get alerts regardles of which direction I'm travelling? For example, westwards and eastwards, even if a camera is located on the side of traffic going eastwards? |

Whilst Garmins own Speed Camera Database is directional they don't allow 3rd party databases, such as the PGPSW one, to use directional data. Whilst PGPSW do collect and store the directional information, there is no way for us to get the Garmin units to use it. Therefore you'll always be alerted whatever direction you go in. |
