|
|
Am I alone with this problem?
I logged on and was offered the update to the latest update (TomTom HOME 2.5.1.36) which I accepted - and have regretted ever since.
I was previously using a HOME 2.5 but have no record of what it was.
I then inserted by TomTom 520 into its dock and immediately got the splash screen for TomTom Home 3!!!!!!
I then got a "not responding" message and Vista stopped Home.
I then got a message "HOMEruntime.exe failed with error 0"
It then suggested that if the problem did not go away I should download again from www.tometom.com/home which I did, but exactly the same result.
Since that I have removed previous incarnations of HOME from the computer by uninstalling, manuallly removing all TOMTOM folders and even checking that the registry had no mention of TomTom, but all to no avail - I am still getting the same problem.
Has anyone managed to get 2.5.1.36 running properly?
Can anyone suggest how I can get the application to run properly?
I am running a TomTom GO 520 and HOME under Vista Business 32 bit.
Thanks in anticipation _________________ Furry Fred

I'm on Vista with Home 2.5.2.60 which I assume is an update on 2.5.1.36 - try installing that |

Thanks, I would if I could, but every time I get a download from TomTom iy comes as "TomTomHOME2winlatest.exe" which I assume is the very latest version. They then use the same name for subsequent versions.
Is there a way of getting a particular version of the software? If so where do I get it? _________________ Furry Fred

Go to TomTom Home download:-
http://www.tomtom.com/services/service.php?id=16&tab=87
When you get to 'Save' change the name in the 'File Name' field to anything you want ie just add a number to the end & it will save as a new file & should be the lastest version of TomTom Home |

Just to update you all.
Still got problems with Home on my desktop. I am now getting into Home but getting a text screen with all the normal things on it - only thing is I can't make any selections from a screen - only go on or back!
I've got Tom-tom support working on it and will advise as and when.
