What Darren means is click the Device option at the top left of the screen
you'll see:
File - Device - Tools - Help |

Just been waiting for tom tom to change serial number on tt home, now thats done just tried to update my replacement 530 and its done the same again ! i'm sure i disconnected it correctly this time , all the files map ect show in contents, every time i connect to tt home it tells me the application has been updated and the device needs to be re started, when i disconnect from tt home the device continues to show the charging cradle picture even when completely removed from it ,I have left it for some time to see if it re starts but it doesn't, if I manually switch it off and on again it shows a flashing red X
I have reinstalled the application a few times[after resetting] and it makes no difference! I can get it to work by putting the application on an SD card and inserting the card but it wont work without it, as it used to, tom tom support is not much use to me as the help lines are only open when i'm at work mostly!!
I hope someone can help as I have now run out of ideas |

I always call TT in the Netherlands. The number is 0031208501004. This number is always answered by English speaking staff. I use a call over ride service at www.call1899.co.uk and a landline to landline call to the Netherlands is cheaper at 1p per minute than calling a UK 0845 number. Also the office opens an hour ahead of the UK at 8 a.m.
Hope this helps. _________________ Iphone 7 running IOS 11.1.2

Tried the reset and re dock many times, still wont re start [just shows dock picture] , might try calling 1899.co does it work ok?, I've done a backup to my computer so might have to format & run flash memory tool from tom tom but don't really want to unless talking to tom tom help at the time in case things go badly wrong and I end up with a scrap unit! |

In Home 2.5.2.28 for the Mac, there is a 'Device' menu which has the option of disconnecting device. Works OK on my Intel Mac, as does shutting down Home and ejecting the Internal and SD card individually. |

Got it working again, after an hour or so on the tom tom helpline, they told me to delete everything from the tt memory EXCEPT the folders{blue coloured on the Mac] then re connect to tt home which then downloaded and installed a new copy of the application , don't know why it didn't work when I updated it the first time
