so far so good.
created a new TT account from TT Home.
Typed in new account details into 940 without it connected. Unit accepts these details and HD services are still working. Also reporting correct end date for my 3 month trial period.
Now to link 940 to TT HOME!!! Here goes...... _________________ TT GO 1005 |

Congratulations MR T, you have been promoted to Head of Technical Support at TOMTOM. You can name your salary.
Works just as you said.
Many thanks. _________________ TT GO 1005 |

Mr T.
When I use the "Operate My Go" feature now I get message along the lines of "This service is for another device... blah blah". I take it this because of this dummy sim that is used when connected to TTHome? If I try to say update fuel or cameras through this it won't work.
However if I use the standard "Update my Go" it works as normal and will update fuel prices, cameras etc..????

Greetings from Brazil!
I have bought a TT GO 740 from GB and live in Brazil.
Regular TT Safety Cameras do not work and I get the same "Code: 148".
So when going abroad on a country without TT Live Services with a TT 740 how do you set up to have the TT Safety Cameras of the foreign country you are?
Best regards,
Felipe
PS: TT Brazil does not sell GOs upper than the x20 GO series. |

The only traffic other than Live Services that will work on an x40 unit outside of the country it was made for is the TMC traffic module. I do not know if Brazil has a TMC traffic system.
The reason for this is that the x40 units contain a SIM for the mobile phone operator that TomTom has an agreement with in the country where the unit is sold. This is a fixed price mobile SIM and does not have any roaming services enabled or paid for on it. The Live HD Traffic Services are only provided in certain countries. _________________ Drivelux |

MrT,
Thank you very much for your attention and patience.
That is what I fear. Anyway I will use a free service called maparadar.com made by volunteers.
With your answer I will not waste my time on it. Thank you!
Best regards,
Felipe
