The database is directional on supported devices. TomTom do not allow third parties to use directional alerts as yet so on a TomTom our directional data is not supported.

As you indicate TomTom has the ability to give directional alerts, is it they won't allow PGPS to use thi feature or PGPS do not know how to use this feature?

The feature is not made available for the 'ordinary POI alert function' so we cannot use it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Also, where are the lines on the road, if any? If they are on the opposite side of the post then that would be for if the camera is physically rotated, which is a different kettle of fish entirely.
Can you confirm for definite, or does anyone else have info on this? |
I don't have any definate info, but I can confirm that a friend who sets off Gatsos when riding towards them on his motorcycle reckons that most of the time he is well out of the picture when the second flash fires.
My understanding is that a live Gatso will only flash when you drive towards it and it's only doing this to scare you - it won't take photos even if it does have a camera installed. _________________ Gone fishing! |
