I have just upgraded to the my ONE 3rd edition to the latest version (8.010) and the latest v815.2024 maps and it now seems that Itinery Planning is no longer working. If I press the screen button it seems to freeze the unit.
Can anyone confirm this. _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

What you have found is correct, the One Third Edition was never supplied with Itinerary Planning as an option, we just found a way to enable it - the newer software has disabled this "work around"
As you have the new maps you must use the newer application which prevents the use of the Itinerary Planning, all you could do is roll the device back to the pre-update status to get the Itinerary planning working but this means using the older map - Mike |

Thanks for that. I asumed that was the situation.
I think I will stick with the latest maps. I'll have to remove the Itinery Planning from the menu system so that I don't select it by mistake. _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

Go to the SDKRegistry folder and rename the file TomTom.mnu to TomTom_Old.mnu and the device will use the default menu, or if you still want the custom menu on the device open the TomTom.mnu file with notepad and delete the line:
MENUITEM|TASK_ITINERARY

Is Itinerary Planning available on other TomTom devices? _________________ Dave R (h5djr)

Yes, I would stick to the Go x20, x30 or x40 devices as these are less likely to be messed around with than the One and XL units - Mike |
