Initially it worked a treat except for the voices - I extracted the Loquendo from the above and after much trial & error all now works well, although TomTom Home does throw a wobbly with it every now & then - although that could well just be the new version of Home that we are now road testing for TomTom

I have a 520 and it works a treat i just wish the gprs connection would work for traffic they all would be well Laughing

Cheers Andy,

Are there any reported problems with bluetooth phone connections after x40 navcore update?

My phone works as well as it did previously (not very well in other words), but you can't use any PLUS services.

Not tried, but the options are there on my 920.

Take a full back up using Windows and then out the new app on - if you don't like it format the TT and copy the full back up back to the TT - no harm done and you got to pretend you had a 940 for a while Very Happy

Andy, have you tried 8.204 (the link you posted)? Anything to report if you have? Thanks.

Been running it on and off for a week now. Probably the fastest map refresh rate I have seen, IQ2 routing works, RDS-TMC works, PLUS services over GPRS don't work, handsfree is still flakey (but it always has been so no surprise there), lovely new icons, LIVE services don't work (didn't expect them to), Bluetooth remote works still.

Not tried the mp3 playing, FM transmitter or Bluetooth Audio but I can't see any reason why they don't work.

Thanks for the update, I've been running it today, seems just as fast as 8.203 and have tried MP3 and it works on my 920T. Very Happy

Voice control does NOT work on the 920 (no icon). Free Plus services do work via GPRS, like weather, Quickfix, Buddies, etc.

Mapshare works.

No icon for FM transmission of navigation instructions ( no selection choice).

On long sections like highways the unit no longer give nav updates and you cant force a repeat by pressing the volume control. No way to force a repeat now!

Is your post above referring to v8.204 on a 920, Infama?

I've not had time to try that combination yet, but with v8.300 on an x20 and v8.204 on an x40 the repeat of last instruction by tapping the left bottom corner still works.

Nav. instructions to FM has been disabled deliberately.

Just installed this. Work fine with tomtom home. Love the icons. Will go for a test drive tomorrow and see if the refresh rate is quicker than my old version.

Voice control works fine on my TT920.

I am running a 920 with FW 8.203 (link from here).

Tapping the bottom left corner no longer repeats the last instructions.

Voice control is not an option in preferences.

I notice you have 8.204...I have 8.203 (9717/081021) OS:232962

Hi Through this thread I have installed ver.8.204 to my map 815.2003. I also deleted the contents of my loquendo folder and copied over the ver. 7 voices of Kate and Simon. Checked my loquendo folder and voice folder and they are both in there. The problem is, when I switch on TT the only voice options I have are Tim, Jane, Kathy and Sean. Does anybody know what I have done wrong please.
