I bought a couple of these to mount my 940 either in my van, or pick up truck, and they seem really good. They supposedly won't leave any residue if they're ever removed from the dash, and being rigid the sucker gets a good hold on them.

I did buy some other discs from Amazon, but they were like soft stickers, and they took up the curve of my vans dash which prevented good suction.
Anyway the rigid discs in the link are pretty good imo

If anyone is still considering the active windscreen mount for the x40 range:
Then you should take a trip to your local Halfords as they have very recently taken delivery of these, the Blackpool branch has them in stock price £29:99 as yet they are not shown on the Halfords web site so you cannot check stock levels but if the shop has them you can be sure they will be on display - Mike |

I bought an active mount from Halfords on Thursday and it does not have the audio line out or ipod connect sockets, it was just the same as the one supplied with a single USB connector.

I'm sure you should be able to take it back and swap it. |

I think his point is that the ones Halfords are selling are not the full featured versions with iPod Connect etc.
Their adverts does not make any claims that they are either. _________________ Darren Griffin

I asked the chap in the shop who told me they were the ones with audio line out, I might nip back and ask them to open a box to be double sure of this - Mike |

That depends on your local Halfords as the TT boxes are factory sealed with clear security stickers. The details on my box are:
Art No. 9UCB.002.00
Part no 5UCB.002.00
Bar Code 0 636926023092 |
