Using WinRar, could I extract v8.2 to the device which has v8.3 on it or would i have to remove 8.3 first please? _________________ TT Go Essential |

Just put it straight on the device using Winrar, it will ask about overwritting files, answer this with a "Yes to All" and just let it get on with the job - Mike |

I can confirm that it works a treat on the 520 except I don't have v7 Loquendo hence no voices - any idea where I can get a copy? |

Try these (seeing as admins have not removed previous links to these files) - delete everything in your LoquendoTTS folder and replace with the contents of this rar.
This is the full file structure for Kate only on TTS7.
As usual, all at your own risk and make sure you have a Windows Explorer backup before you start.

Tried this on the way home and I can confirm that the refresh rate is MUCH better than 8.3 on my 730, in fact it seems to be better than its ever been
Thanks to all for helping me out with this one |

Are you by chance a salesman Andy...
Am just watching the film "Holy Man" on freeview,... and it reminds me a little of your enthusiasm for this particular fix... I think you may be quite dissapointed when Tom Tom mend 8.3...
Just joking really mate... I appreciate the posts you have made on this issue.

Hi guys sounds great! one question by upgrading to this new operating system and Kate voice does this in anyway conflict with TomTom home 2.5? i.e if I upgrade with the new icons etc will I still receive my new maps when released etc?
Thanks for all your advise! _________________ TT Go 720 v8.204

Just installed Home 2.5 and I am getting offered all my maps etc. as well as 8.300
Can't see any issues with using HOME and the x40 navcore - but I have been wrong before!

Andy, have you tried 8.204 (the link you posted)? Anything to report if you have? Thanks. _________________ Garmin 3490 LMT

Initially it worked a treat except for the voices - I extracted the Loquendo from the above and after much trial & error all now works well, although TomTom Home does throw a wobbly with it every now & then - although that could well just be the new version of Home that we are now road testing for TomTom |
