Hi,
I'd like to download the TMC POI from the site but can't find it in the POI download area. I've been told there is one available but I can't find it - any help appreciated.
Thanks |

TomTom or Garmin device? - as the files are different for each Traffic data provider? - once I know this I can send them over to you - Mike |

The TMC POI files are something I created nearly two years ago, they contain the locations of the transmitter stations used to broadcast the data.
Once it is on your device you can easily find the nearest transmitter and associated frequency, this gives you the option to use the manual tune on the device knowing that the numbers you are entering are correct for your location anywhere in the UK, France or Scandinavia for the TomTom / Navman systems.
For the Garmin products the file covers the UK only, if you want a copy let me know the device type and I will send it over - Mike |

Check your e-mail as you should have the files, as for what to do with them, have a read of This Thread, some of the screen shots are a little dated as TomTom removed the ability to see the name of the radio station on the unit, I would hope someday that might return but somehow I doubt it - you can still use the file and manualy tune the receiver though - Mike |

Hi Marcus welcome to the forum, you should have e-mail by now with the files attached, I have removed your e-mail address from the above post as its not a good idea putting it on the forum, it can attract spam - Mike |

Phil, I have sent you a copy of the Traffic Master transmitter stations as the Garmin uses a different set of radio stations to those employed by TomTom/ Navman - Mike |
