I am trying to load the safety cameras onto my Kenwood DNX5220BT but each time I enter the disk I get DISK ERROR.

I am using the garmin point loader and when I have downloaded the safety file I save as garmin\POI.gpi. Can anybody advise where I have gone wrong?

Many Thanks

Make sure that you have closed off your disk when you burn it. Check the "settings" button before you burn and ensure that there is a tick in the box to "finalise setting" or something similar.

Also, on your Kenwood unit, you need to go into SYSTEM SETUP menu and check that it says CD READ 1. If it says CD READ 2, change it and hopefully your problem will be solved. Good luck.

i have just went through the exact problem. you have done the first part right .the most important thing is that you dont try to burn the files using windows .you have to use somthing like nero or roxio. plus make sure your points of interest on your kenwwod are turned on

What is the exact error message and when do you get this? Before you burn, during the burn, once you put it in to the Kenwood?

Make sure you burn as a Data CD and you finalise the disk. Also use good quality brand name media.

Have you got the latest version of your Nero?

Have you tried deleting the files and redownloading them? They are just normal bmps and csv (Text) files so Nero shouldn't have any problems burning them.

What does it say in the drop down box before you change it to "All Files"? If you are burning in Data format then it's shouldn't have any preconception of the types of files you want to burn, unlike, say Music CD, where it'll try to filter out non-music files first.
