Hi I'm a newbie who has just bought a S300T. I cannot figure how to see a list of nominated waypoints and if you can alter the order as I used to do on the icn510. Any ideas? Thanks |

Hi icuryy4me
At present I have not been able to see a list of nominated waypoints. Like you while using my older S90i I was able to put in waypoints either from the list of my places or new waypoints from the map.
With the new mapping and software with the S300T this is not possible, or if it is I have not been able to find it.
Hopefully when they release the new maps next month the CD will come with new software that has fixed some of the points that I talked about in First Look at S300T.
If I do find out how to do the waypoints like the old way I will let you know. _________________ Regards

Thanks Tony. In general I'm happy with this model but I also find the screen difficult to scroll without accidently selecting something. I will give it a go workout on Friday as we are off to Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast) for a 4 day weekend.

Hi Ian
So far I have not had a problem with the screen scolling on my unit. I find that by using the tip of your nail it works fine.
Did you also read my post for the screen protector. With it on it also seems to make the scrolling work better.
Let me know how the unit worked after your trip to Maroochydore as that is were I am heading for Christmas as I have a son there and a daughter in Cooroy. Also I think that the bypass at Tweed Heads has been completed. _________________ Regards

Tony, could you tell me where you got your screen protector. I see that eBay has 2 for US$8 + US$3 for postage. Did you get yours locally? You are correct about the Tugen by-pass, it was completed a few months ago and is great for avoiding coolangatta airport and a great time saver. The Navteq mapping does not seem to display the by-pass however.

Hi Ian
See my thread "Screen Protector New Platinum Range" just down from yours. They are great and take about 1 week from order.

I can see that. Not good for Navteq as the older version Whereis on my older 90i does show the bypass. If the new maps due out next month does not show the bypass, then Navman has made the big mistake going over to Navteq. _________________ Regards
