Anyone using Anquet successfully on WM6?
I've tried on a Smartphone (HP514) and a PPC (Orbit 2).
It'll install, and show maps, but when you try to 'connect to GPS' it just freezes.
Reported this to Anquet customer support and they were no help at all. Suggested other progs were taking over the GPS, which is absolute because I've tried it with nothing else installed.
Any advice appreciated. |

I am using a mio P360, rather than a mobile. Runs fine for me (certasinly better than on my old Mio 168) |

You aren't using the GPS 'sharing' applet on WM6 are you? If so - disable it and use the native GPS port.
Also check with the mobile phone manuf that they aren't 'interfering' with the connectivity of the internal GPS.
Does any other satnav s/w see the GPS? _________________ Phil |

I've not installed a GPS 'sharing' applet. If it's native to WM6, where might I find it to disable?
Memory Map and A-Z (and CoPilot) work fine with standard settings - NMEA0183, 4800 baud rate, COM4 I think |

|

Just installed 6.2.5.0 on my PC, and EVEN with this version, it doesn't work properly with Windows Mobile 6 on my XDA Orbit 2.
The maps load, and open up ok, but when I try to configure GPS it still just hangs. I'm using GPS settings as follows: COM4 NMEA 0183, 4800 baud rate. It works fine with A-Z, Memory Map and Co Pilot.
I've ensured that nothing else is running and using the GPS, but it still hangs. Makes the Anquet software useless to me. |

Contacted Anquet support again and this time they suggested loading GPSGate - apparently some HTC phones with inbuilt GPS use a different encoding for the GPS signal - did this and it works!
All programs (A-Z, Anquet, MM, Co Pilot) can now use the in-built GPS without problems - and it seems to get a fix quicker |
