Yesterday TomTom Home updated the OS on my Go 500.
When I used the Go last night I found that it has started resetting itself every few minutes.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this phenomenon?

I've got a 710 and there were a few issues when mine was updated last week.
Reading these forums I think the software update has brought up a few problems.
I think the start advice is to do a soft reset.
Make sure everything is backed up just in case though.
Have had to do several soft resets on my 710, cures some issues like camera warnings. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

There needs to be 2 or 3 MB for the 500 to use as a Virtual Page. It used to be a problem with size limited cards, and the software getting ever larger. _________________ Richard

Oldboy,
I've check the free space and I've got about 3 Gb free on the SD card.
Thought I would try rolling back the software if I can work out how.

After trying several approaches to solving this problem I eventually contacted TomTom to see if they could help.
Their response was as follows FYI...
"We are aware of this and it should be resolved soon, please do not update the application until you are offered version 8, In the mean time the steps below will help you revert back to an older version:"
They then gave me instructions on how to reset my Go to an earlier version of the software. I've been trying to post these instructions here too but there appears to be an embedded html tag that the forum doesn't like.
Hope this explains things to anyone else experiencing similar problems.
