I updated through HOME yesterday and got a Mobile Phone Settings Update. Does anyone know what that's all about please?
My phone already has a connection and I didn't want to break it so I could try the new settings in case there was a problem. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Hi
After backing up my TomTom using explorer, I downloaded the update.
All seems well, found no problems so far and all connections and settings are unaffected _________________ Mick

Has this update put on newer phones? I have a Nokia 6300 which connects to my GO720T but completely messes it up so can't therefore be used. Is this phone now listed as connectable? |

The 6300 Nokia issue was known about quite some time ago when I reported it to TomTom, I think it stopped working when 7,480 was released, when I put 7,221 back on my mates device his 6300 paired up and worked as normal - he hasn't updated it since though AFAIK - Mike |

My Nokia 6300 has worked perfectly (except for not being able to read texts) both on v7.221, and v8.1. I only updated to 7.48 briefly and didn't test the phone then, but I've never had to reconnect or do anything else with the phone. _________________ TT Go Essential |

The Nokia N82 is not on the new list, so i still have to set up my connection as an 'Other' device. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

Was wondering what it does myself, as I have no trust in TT downgrades - and that's a fact.
However, on the upside, my N95 8Gb still works fine as does the SE990i pile of pants, and if that can work with anything then I suppose anything can.
Not that i am biased of course. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Listed where? TT's compatibility list still looks the same to me, and you wouldn't need an update for that to change. _________________ TT Go Essential |

on the device itself when you are pairing it. i.e. it is now one of the phones you can chose when setting up data link and it transfers the address book properly now too. |

Thanks, that explains why I was confused. there was no list when I paired the phone last April, and I haven't unpaired it so I wasn't aware of a list on the device. I'll probably see it when i get my now handset when I renew my contract in February. _________________ TT Go Essential |
