Hi guys,I recently tried to help my m8 by connecting his go 300 to my pc to get the gps fix for him, tomtom home came up with some options as it knew it wasn't my 910,i chose to add link his go 300 to my account but now i cant use my 910 on tom home .i called them and they said you can only have 1 device installed and i have to wait six months to update the 910 ???

what do families with more than 1 device do to update theirs then and how can i fix this please.
is their a sat nav system that isn't so stupid i could buy

cheers chipmonk

The 6 month limit is if you link another device to your PLUS Subscription. You can have as many devices as you want linked to HOME itself.

What happens when you connect your 910? You should be prompted that the device connected is different to that which was previously connected and then then asked for the login details?

i don't have any plus services and i got caught out with the 6 month thing when i connected an old go 300 to home to update the software.

luckily i am able to set up a new email address easily so just made a new account for the other device.

They're talking rubbish! Are you able to create another account at MyTomTom with a new email address?

Ignore their support, few of the companies are great in this department we can resolve most issues much quicker for you! The devices are pretty good though so worth a little pain now and again.

However when its time to upgrade let us know and we can throw some suggestions into the mix Smile
