Thanks for the reply but that wasn't my question
Obviously data quality is paramount - maybe you could ask the person in question to contact me directly |

Why? Naturally we recognise data quality is of the utmost importance and will ask the person who reported these for the exact circumstances. _________________ Darren Griffin |

How about giving us the opportunity to investigate first? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ok, I have seen the reports and have full confidence in the person who made it but cannot contact them directly right now to ask about this specific report.
Until I have done so nothing will be gained from further debate. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The first is 1/2 mile from home and I use that road a lot - never seen a camera there and it not on the list of sites from the local Scamera partnership
Capitalisation is correct English and just looks more professional
|
It is also customary to use a full stop at the end of each sentence.

And WRT? Using redundant double preposition's are we, perhap's? How it's done (by aaaaaaard Northerner's)

Well, WRT to to to to to to you saying "IIRC OAP means Old Age Pensioner", AFAIK you are not a qualified pensioner judger. Correct me if I'm wrong. _________________ Dennis

OK, Camera #57607. Our Verifier has consulted his notes and confirms a camera van was in full operation at this location. We even have the weather recorded at the time!
With respect to #21163, this was a 2006 camera and our records back then were not as comprehensive. The verification in that case was simply that it was a feasible site following three individual reports.
Regardless of the above, neither site has been the subject of a recent report and so both will be scheduled for purge very soon.
I trust this answers your initial query? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren
thanks for the feedback. I guess this just highlights the enormity of the task and does bring in to focus one issue:
The camera partnerships are allowed in law to enforce "community concern sites" i.e. pretty much wherever they like (depending on how income is going !!)
The local partnership just lists whole towns e.g. Ipswich i.e. a van could be placed absolutely anywhere in the town (much like the police). This should not IMHO qualify it as a site |

We don't take any notice of what SCP's publish or state. Both those sites were reported by members. One was actually reported by one of our team so was a valid site at that time. The other we cannot comment on in detail as it's a very old site.
As we now have a policy of purging inactive sites they will get weeded out if no longer used as is the case here but that does not change the fact that I'm satisfied they were both active at some point in the past? _________________ Darren Griffin |
