Take the Fortuna. It's a better receiver than the TomTom BT GPS.
PrymeNav is not as advanced as TomTom, but it is very easy to use and gives satisfactory results. _________________ Lutz

|
|
Hello,
I am looking for a Bluetooth PPC-based solution (i have an iPAQ 3970) and need EU maps, at least UK, France and Switzerland.
Apparently Tom Tom is the reference for software interface.
But it seems the standard packages lack the detailed EU maps.
Am I wrong?
Cheers, |

I would highly recommend the Fortuna Clip-on BT and Tomtom3. These work fantastically (must have the free Postcode plug-in) on my 3970, it also has the major roads of Europe on the UK roads CD. Fortuna and TT3 should be easily available on e-bay or any online shop. _________________ IPAQ 3970, Fortuna Clip-on BT, TT3, Lexar 32X 256mb SD card. |

CoPilot is a software that forces you to take navigation seriously. Expect a less fancy User Interface, and a very solid route planning engine. You will have to decide if you do navigation just for fun or if you depend on it. _________________ Lutz

Is this the way forward for disgruntled and totally disillusioned TTN3 users then _________________ ___________

Thanks to Darren Griffin, editor at Pocket GPS World who answered me:
'CoPilot Live v5 is imminent and looks like it could be a winner.'

It all depends on what your interpretation of imminent is. Mine is 6-12 months We will be meeting up with ALK over the next few days at the motorshow but will probably be subject to NDA. |
