I am thinking of buying a Nuvi 255W which comes with European maps, can I buy USA maps and load them on to use while on holiday but then reload the European maps when I return, I assume that I will automaticaly get a disk with the European maps when I buy the 255W even though the European maps will be preloaded onto the device?
Any tips on what is the best way to do this? |

Alternatively, If I was to get a big enough memory card, could I have both USA and Europe maps on the device at the one time |

You can buy the maps already loaded onto a SD card, and the beauty of this is that the data is locked to the SD card and not the GPS unit, so if you were to change your GPS the SD map data will still be usable in the new unit |

Please don't ask for pirate or cracked maps on this forum as we have a zero tolerance policy to piracy and related matters.
SandLake - Please do not post links to obviously pirated maps. |

On reflection I was very naive, it was not my intention to promote piracy - I apologise for my stupidity |

That's OK. I can't see you did here. It was the "any cough cough free places" comment that attracted my attention. |
