I was wondering if anybody could help. I have a Sony Ericsson W910i on a contract with "3" and a TomTom Go 730. Although the SE is fully compatible with the TT, I am having problems with wireless data and the phone book. I would appreciate advice on the settings?
Many thanks,
Mike. |

Mike
I had the same problem with access to the plus services.
If I was clever I could post a link to the discussion (search this forum for 3 AND plus, then select the "traffic on 3" thread). It details what to do. Info can also be found at:
http://www.tomtom.com/support/category.php?ID=1&Language=1&FID=3326
My phonebook took about 10 mins to download - there are about 100 entries.
Cheers

I've tested functionality of all of the below, both on Orange Contract
Samsung i8510
TomTom Plus/Traffic - *Yes
Hands free calling - **No
Send SMS - Not availible/No
Recieve SMS - Not Availible/No
Contacts List - Yes
Nokia N80
TomTom Plus/Traffic - ***Yes
Hands free calling - Not Availible (Data SIM Only)
Send SMS - Not availible/No
Recieve SMS - Not Availible/No
Contacts List - Yes
***Connections are very tempremental with this handset. Ocationaly it will disconnect for no reason, sometimes reconnecting, sometimes not. Usually a reboot of both the device and handset are required to solve the issue. In every case, the handset must be turned on FIRST, before the TT otherwise a connection WILL NOT take place ("Could not establish connection" error.)
**When I've attempted to dial, it returns the mesage of 'Phone not connected' despite it being connected for data etc.
*Accessing the phones modem for Traffic/weather etc. This connection does take place successfully, however occasionally it takes several minutes to establish. _________________ Graeme Bennett

Pity about not receiving SMS's otherwise it does everything I want.

Nokia N82 (Orange Contract)
TomTom Plus - Yes (Weather only - no traffic subs)
Hands-free calling - Yes
Send SMS - No

Does not appear on the drop down list, but set up using 'Other' as the phone type. It sometimes loses the pairing and I have to redo. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

Sine 'upgrading' the Navcore to 8.3x, all attempts to get this combination to work have been unsuccessful.
An N73 which used to work no longer does so either.
Well done TomTom - they tell me it's not their fault, I must have done something with the phones. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |
