I added this plea to the 'mapshare working' thread but it may have got lost so I'll try my own thread
Since upgrading to the latest HOME version it keeps offering me 6.nn version maps of Europe eveytime I check for updates.
Does anyone know of a way that I can remove this nag as I don't want to download several gigabytes of stuff I don't want.
Any help would be just fab ![Wink](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

No help, but just to say I'm in the same boat. Just haven't got around to doing anything about it yet (ie emailing TT) ![Surprised](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_surprised.gif) _________________ Brian Abbott

What is the exact number and name of the map it is offering you as it might be possible to fool the Home software into thinking the map is already on your PC thus preventing it from trying to download another copy - Mike |

Hi Mike,
Mine are all v6.32 maps and are for :-
Benelux
DE,AT,CH,PL and CZ
France
Great Britain
Ireria
Italy
Scandinavia
oh, and Netherlands Post Code v6.01
I have no idea why I'm being offered these 'apparently free' maps and they are well out of date compared with the installed Western and Central Europe v7.20 map.

If you bought a map, Home would offer it to you until you downloaded it or until a year was up.
All that's happened is the checking system has failed so it is offering them to you again.
A pain to have to keep deselecting it, but not the end of the world.
Yuo could either just download it, then it would stop nagging, or hopefully Mike has a sneaky solution... |

Home kept offering me UK map v6.75. I let it download to my memory card and then immediately deleted it. I've not been offered it since. That was on a GO 520. |

nashmills, if you look in the folder on the PC where TomTom Home stores the map downloads, can you identify a file or files that corespond to the 675 map you have downloaded? - if so what are the file names?
The idea I have to stop this behaviour is to place suitably named files in the download folder which Home will recognise and therefore not bother downloading rubbish a user doesn't want - Mike |

map8973-1.gif
UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE.cab
UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE.toc
