|
|
I noticed a thread back in August that asked if x10 models were going to be updated to Navcore 8, with no replies.
It's now mid October, I take it that there has been no news on that front, and have the x10 owners been abandoned?
Thanks for any info. RoystonB |

The good news is that TT still assure us that a v8 upgrade is planned for the x10's, the bad news is we have no information of when this may be made available. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just a thought, as i dont know if this has been covered elsewhere, but will nav8 be available for the x00?.
I have a few friends with that range. _________________ iPhone4 IOS 4.3.3

It hasn't yet been confirmed but it's possible. Definitely not for the Classic though. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Navcore 7 has been out for the x00 models for ages, mate.
v7.160 (build 8489) - 30th Oct 2007 was the first (not for 300 or Classic) and I think v7.162 (8492/071121) - 6th Dec 2007 (for all of them) is the latest. |

Just read another site and they have quoted...........
'During a meeting for forum admins, recently held at the TomTom headquarters, the Company let us know that they are not planning on releasing NavCore 8 for older TomTom models, like the GO Classic, GO’s x00 and x10 series, older ONE models and the two RIDER models. These devices do not contain the necessary horsepower to be able to provide the NavCore 8 features in an acceptable fashion to the user.'
Just to let you know.

How does that relate to Darren's post of Oct 13th?, and does that mean TT have no interntion of making of rectifying the TMC fault they created in v7.x for x10 users? _________________ Go740L App 9.510 Europe 985.8155

I was at the same meeting and my recollection is different with just Classic, x00 and early ONE's definitely excluded. The x10 should have more than enough grunt to run v8. _________________ Darren Griffin |

'Others' have had Nav 8 with Version 8 maps running on a 910, although not officially. So it shows that it can be done and the 910 can support it if TomTom were to release it.
I'm still trying to get TomTom to fix the TMC/RDS problems in V7.161 for the 910. It seems I'm going round in circles once again but this time will be the last before contacting the Advertising Standards Agency and Trading Standards.
Is the TMC 1 minute error fixed in Navcore 8 on the newer models? |
