If TomTom handle the Map updates like they are handling this Mapshare debacle then I reckon I have done the £ 77.00 I paid for my years worth ! _________________ Keith

|
|
Sorry if it's been covered before, but how many pages of options should this new version of Home offer? The reason for asking is that at the moment I have two pages, but half an hour ago while checking for Mapshare updates I momentarily spotted it said three pages and there was a new (to me) button for downloading Mapshare updates. This third page and button are now nowhere to be seen. Any ideas? |

I've just answered my previous question myself. I connected my 720 to my computer and as usual touched the screen at the "Yes" button. Home opened up with two pages of options, but no Mapshare update button. When I disconnected my 720, Home offered three pages including the aforementioned button. I reconnected my 720 without closing down Home and it quickly reverted to two pages again. Does this mean Home options are model dependent and it is not recognising mine as a 720? |

I've just logged into TT and been able to download the latest mapshares, my HOME screens shows 13085 map corrections in use.
I'm sure i had more before the TT v 2.4 came along. But at least its back and working,
Cheers

I'm feeling a little bit hard done by, here. About two weeks ago a did the Latest Map Guarantee download on my new 930, so I should have the latest map, right? TT Home is now telling me that the charge for keeping my map up to date is £51.80 / year (12.95 / quarter). Since I am supposed to have the latest map, I would have thought that the charge should be £39.80 / year (£9.96 / quarter). What would the extra £12 / year be for?
Also, are the Europe Map and the North America map dealt with separately, ie £51.80 each? I am only being offered to keep the Europe map up to date for my £51.80, but that may be because I am using the Europe map at the moment. |

The x30 maps have been around £10 more than the other maps since they launched, you are getting the IQ Routes data and the Lane Assist/ Reality view data provided with these compared to the cheaper maps for the XL and x10 devices - Mike |

If MapShare is working or not seems to be related to which map you are using. I have managed to download map correction successfully to my old v715 Western Europe map, but for my newest v810 Scandinavia map no corrections are yet available.
Which map are you trying to download map corrections for? |

I've managed to get MapShare back - at last - but there is still no map updates as yet
I have asked TomTom what is happening - I will report back if it is a model problem _________________ Furry Fred

It would be helpful if those of you who are able to download map corrections stated which map you are using. That way the rest of us know if we can expect to get it working as well. MapShare is only working for certain maps at this point in time, but we should expect MapShare updates for all maps within a few days.
I have only been able to download map corrections for v715 Western Europe sofar. |

I'm on the map subscriptions since 8th October, too. From WE 7.10 to the WE 8.10 and one year updates was 97,65 euros (£ 77.28). Nice after that: Your map is up to date. 0 MapShare map corrections in use.
If the server was down, it seems not to be up yet or TT has cut the lines to the north. Let's see when I'll get the first corrections.
BTW! The Lane Quidance is nice, I saw it first time today when testing the new version, I was almost shocked when it popped on the screen. _________________ Harry (TT GO720T)
