Does anyone have any information on new maps from Garmin? Do they update them once a year? |

Garmin update the maps once a year usually around the end of the year. New devices seem to get the maps first with upgrades for existing owners being available towards the end of the year / beginning of next year. |

I am looking to upgrade my trusty i3 with a Nuvi 250 or 255.
Does this mean that if I purchase the unit after 15th October I will be eligible for a free map update? |

And Garmin also (reportedly) announced at the Paris Car Show that they are going to quarterly updates as well as a Lifetime Map Update Service for a one-time charge. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

Did they give any details of how the quarterly updates would work _________________ Zumo 500 + 4GB SD Card, car Kit and GTM21
Linked to Autocom by bluetooth and all seems good.
Traffic reception in the central belt of Scotland and hurray NW England seems to be working again. Still a million times better than the Quest 2 it replaces |
