Yesterday as I departed from Gosport to come home, my GO920T forecast 45 minutes delay and offered to re-plan. I declined, so my arrival time was set back by 45 minutes, from roughly 5:30pm to 6:15pm. As the journey progressed, the delay changed and eventually disappeared. One reason why I declined the re-planning was because on that particular route, I know a few rat runs which avoid the usual black traffic spots (Salisbury and Bath etc), but which I've never seen the TT use, so I intended using them if necessary. It turned out that the traffic problems dissipated before I reached them and I wondered if the TT would have still been scanning traffic on the original route in order to revert to it if traffic problems cleared, or whether it would have stuck with the diversion and got me home at 6:15pm. _________________ Dennis

I would expect it to continue to evaluate ALL options and offer alternatives if any are found that improve the ETA? _________________ Darren Griffin |

In my experience it will re-route you back onto the original road if the traffic situation changes before your reach the hold up. It seems to recalculate the best available option each time it receives traffic data. _________________ Paul |

If you are all wrong, I shall break my lifetime habit of controlled discretion and post something rude. If you are all right, I shall, of course, say nothing. _________________ Dennis

The device continuously monitors the traffic situation and route accordingly, so as soon as the delay has reduced sufficiently.
At least, that's my experience with the "Automatically minimise delays after every traffic update" option selected and I haven't monitored the situation with with the manual accept/reject option. _________________ Andy
