I never knew what was doing it, just it happened intermittently when I had connected to Home. Now that you say it, it makes sense why mine suffered earlier today and not later. _________________ Dennis

Has TT said anything about this?
Cheers

From various posts on the forums various people at TT have said
"try tomorrow"
"next week"
"about 10 days"
to different people.
The reports I tend to trust reckoned the servers would be down for about a week, so maybe they'll be back by early next week? |

And now, just to confound things ..... a poster in a US forum INSISTS that with Home 2.40 (whatever the version was prior to 104), he IS getting ms updates! _________________ David |

Right you may have seen from previous posts I am having a load problem with TOmTom home. I get this message
I am on a mac with leopard. So I removed the application from the applications folder and deleted the folder in documents that has all the data in.
I then re-installed the Home application. It seems to be remembering things like my user name etc.... so how do I do a clean install.

Command+Shift+4 allows you to select part of the screen to save as an image. This would make the actual error message much easier to read...
In my experience, tomtom error messages do not always give a lot away. If you can get into preferences for home, try clicking the button which resets the folder positions to default and see if that makes any difference.
There may well be some tomtom preference files kicking about, which retain your login details.
Whatever else you do, make sure you do not delete any folders without backing them up first; the map folder contains your current map plus a backup of any previous map downloads! |

For those that asked when the MapShare servers should be back up, TomTom Support have put on my case notes today that it will be 10th October. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

Em Had a strange conversation with a TT customer service agent yesterday! I asked about the 29,39,49 issue, he said TT are aware of the issue, BUT due to only a small userbase the use MPH, IT'S NOT A CURRENT PRIORITY! It will be adressed in the future but no time frame as yet! When i asked about mapshare i was informed WORK ON MAPSHARE SERVERS WILL BE FINISHED BY 7TH OCT AND TESTED WITH THE 10TH OCT THE SERVICE SHOULD BE BACK UP! He then said OH I SHOULDN'T OF SAID THAT!
I guess us in the UK will have to wait until TT aint busy fixing there cock ups! for the speed fix! When was the last app or home release without a bug to fix? LONG WAIT I GUESS!!!!!!!
EDIT TO ADD THIS:
Reported to TT that many people dislike the new compass! The agent agreed and said he too didnt like it but does like the idea of using the old one, but it changes to new style when you mute the device so you get the mute icon! He supplied this comment without any prompting! Does he know something? or just his own idea! Please tell the boss |

Have just recently updated and tomtom quoted the following.
