Some good news for those of you wanting to upgrade from iGO MyWay 2006 to iGO 8 Europe; Nav N GO have just announced their new online upgrade shop where anyone with a full european version of iGO MyWay 2006 can upgrade to version 8.
If you bought the old version during 2008 you will be able to upgrade to version 8 free of charge! Otherwise the cost is a not-unreasonable €89 (£70). Visit http://my.navngo.com for full details.
Full press release follows:

New Nav N Go Webshop Goes Online
The new Nav N Go internet webshop allows you to upgrade your iGO My way software to the new 3D Nav N Go iGO 8, a service offered free to some users.
Upgrade possibilities in the Nav N Go webshop
Nav N Go is offering users of previous iGO My way software the chance to upgrade to the latest Nav N Go iGO 8 software with the latest maps. The version upgrade is only possible over the internet, by visiting my.navngo.com. The new program, with real 3D visuals and a number of other functions, is available free of charge for customers who purchased iGO My way 2006 with a Full Europe map in 2008. Software which was purchased before 2008 can be upgraded to the new version of the program for a gross price of 89 Euros.
Users of iGO My way 2006 with only a single country map or Eastern Europe map will not be able to upgrade to Nav N Go iGO 8, because the memory card does not have enough capacity to store the new 3D maps. In the near future, however, the most recent map updates (without the new software) for iGO My way 2006 will be available from the Nav N Go webshop. If your PDA is unable to run the 3D program for technical reasons, or if you do not wish to upgrade to the latest version, the same map updates will also be available to you.
For details describing the online upgrade and update processes, and to check the compatibility of your device with Nav N Go iGO 8 in 3D, please visit the following website: my.navngo.com

As well as for some countries in South America, is sold under name: OnCourse Navigator, since at least, middle of 2008.
I mean: version 8 of OCN, because OCN 6, same as iGo 6,2006 was available earlier.
On their webpage:
http://www.oncoursenavigator.com/ocn8_intro.aspx
it is annonced that current maps are Map Release: Feb 2009 (TeleAtlas), ans software version 8.3.2.97313.
Base advantage over "original" igo is that OCN is available on 2, 4 and 8GB cards.
And, exactly as for iGo users, updates are made via naviextras.
