|
|
Hi...
I looked into the map-file that represent a route and finds each of the waypoints defined like this (had to remove the start and end tag):
Code: |
Point North="1435634720" East="127737069" Elev="0" Text="WP26" Visible="1"
|
Anybody found what kind of format the North and East values is written in?
Is it a standard that is being used?
If not, how to convert to degrees/minuttes/seconds?

Can you give more details - where is WP26 (lat&long or OS grid), how different is WP25, etc? |

I made a new small route with only two points (start and end).
From Satmap Active 10 device GUI
=================================
GPS-format is Degrees minutes, seconds decimal
Start-point: N59 54 52 E10 44 10
End-point: N59 54 49 E10 44 19
Distance something like 170m apart in the middle of Oslo/Norway
The corresponding two points from the route/map-file looks like....
Code: |
Point North="1429615926" East="128087670" Elev="0" Text="SP" Visible="1"/
Point North="1429596715" East="128118554" Elev="0" Text="WP1" Visible="1"/
|
I had two leave out the enclosing start/end-tags for each line. So these data is on two lines in the map-file.
My was hoping somebody had digged into this already.... |

Have you seen This Thread from a while back when we were messing around with a very similar question, it might be miles away from the truth, but if you try the maths........ (check around the 9th and 10th posts for some info) - Mike |
