All, does anyone know of / can recommend somewhere to buy Mio 269 spares, specifically I'm looking for the little Black plastic socket at the bottom of the unit where you connect the AC mains / car charger.
Alternatively, are there any other spares / sockets that will fit the Mio 269 and enable me to still use the original AC mains and car charger,
your help and advice would be much appreciated,
Regards,
Soulman. |

It is unusual for the charger socket to fall out!!!
At the top of the unit is a small slot beside the SD card slot - carefully put a wide bladed screwdriver into the slot and twist: the case will part with a "crack" and you can check if the socket is sliding around inside! If it is then it can be soldered back on - it is a weak point with these units and it is the solder joints which go "dry" or part from the board.

I'm not in possesion of the unit, only thinking of buying it if (1) the socket is floating around somewhere inside or (2) I am able to source a new socket, (Hence this post)
I am familiar with how to open up / the insides of the Mio 269 and just need to make sure that if the original socket isnt inside the unit I can get my hands on another,
regards,
