Medion 4410 / MD 96390

I wonder how many people are having problems with their Medion P4410 Sat Navs.
I purchased mine in Spain at Aldi and almost immediately started to get error P610. The machine does not seem able to resolve or compute the address. It locates 6 to 7 satellites and on looking at the map the GPS seems to locate the position of the vehicle.

This error is not constant, i.e. today I used the sat nav for three journeys. When I first started the machine I got the error and for ten minutes I was putting the address in, re-booting etc. Then I decided to start the journey and leave the machine on; after 10 minutes it stated to work. It is very frustrating.

The machine has been back to be repaired 6 to seven times but the technicians say there is nothing wrong (no fault or error),, when it is returned same problem.

I have now written to Aldi and Medion in Germany to complain.The Aldi store in Spain says that it can not refund my money, as it should be repaired. Technicians say no error.

All I want is a Sat Nav that will work when I switch it on.

I would be interested to hear from other Medion Sat Nav owners.
