I don't have enough space on my internal memory to install the new version map. I can put it on my SD card but I dont see the point of having two maps of the UK on one device.
Can I just delete the old map from the internal memory and then copy the new one across from the SD card? |

TomTom Home should automaticlly overwrite the old map data if you're buying or using LMG. |

But before you use TomTom Home to install a new map, make sure you make a backup of your existing installation using Windows Explorer (not TomTom Home) as described in FAQ #1 in the Stickies at the beginning of this Forum. Then if it goes pear-shaped, you can quickly get back to where you are now

Thanks FranB & Robin. After I'd asked the question I realized the answer |

In my experience (limited) using LMG overwrites the old map - buying new creates a new folder. I bought a new map for my One and it was called Western Europe 1GB - the old one was just Western Europe.
So long as you have made the explorer back up you should be OK to delete.
Remember to back up the new one as soon as you download it. _________________ Alan
