Thanks for a very interesting review.
What you omit to say is that your screen dumps are 4 times the area of hte originals. THey are 4.4 inches diagonal against 2.2 inches for teh real thing. The real thing is half as wide and half as high. That is tiny - I cannot read the bottom two screen prints. Try changing the size of the display on your monitor to match that, and you will see what I mean. (50% does it).
Sorry but I don't think that is a realistic size of screen to be using for navigating. I use a 4 inch screen on my iPAQ 4700, which works for me.
As a comparison, teh Satmap Active 10 and the new Garmin nuvi both use a 3.5 inch screen.

Hi Fellwalker, this June we used it to nav up maiden moor and high spy (i guess from your moniker you'll know these and also know that there is not a clear path), in thick fog and driving rain and down rigghead quarry, with no problems at all, so i guess the screen size is fine!. We also used it to nav scafell pike from seathwaite and helvellyn across to sticks pass and down, but these were in decent weather. if you want a better set of pics the original review is on my personal site here.
I'm not interested in a "yours is better than mine argument" - i only wanted to share the real benefits we've enjoyed.

you'll have to check with the boxit suppliers but i believe the case is fine with the N95. we picked the 6110 for its excellent battery life which we believe is not so good with the n95. the viewranger authors will probably have tested it with the n95 and maybe can advise? I think there's only one viewranger for each version of your phone's operating system, so it depends which version of symbian your n95 runs - again the viewrangwr authors will advise. we have found their pre and post sales service is superb. we bought an 8gb card with whole of uk at 1:50 and selected regions at 1:25 and still got loads of space free for mp3s and vids.

I do know the places you are talking about and clearly the 6110 is a workable solution. It is great that convergence is finally bringing us some multi purpose pieces of kit. Thanks for sharing - reviews like yours are vastly better than what magazines give us, as they often do not relate to real world use.
I was genuinely concerned about the screen size. When I first read your review I thought how fantastic it is, but then realised the screen print was bigger than real life and felt I should share that realisation. I was not trying to argue the value of one above the other, but (as my arms are now not as long as my eyesight) drawing attention to the screen size. The bit about my iPAQ was that its the same size of screen as that shown in the article. Sorry if I caused any offence.
I'm fed up carrying my pda and also having to carry a mobile phone, and whenever I want to navigate, a bluetooth GPS receiver as well. It would be great to only need one item.
