Is there a problem with TomTom traffic over gprs or is it just my system? Whenever I try to connect I either get an error on the TomTom server (code 1001) or a message telling me my subscription has expired.
Account info on the device and by logging into the TomTom website tells me my subscription expires in January 2009!
Do I need to contact them or is it a general problem which I assume they know about? |

Hi Nashmills
Mine's connecting ok (on Orange which seems to be one of the more flakey TT Plus connections).
Your phone is letting you surf the web isn't it? Can you log on to your Plus account under "TomTom PLUS services" - "Edit TomTom PLUS account"? It should come back with "Your username and password are accepted." |

According to other posters on here the Traffic service is experiencing problems at the TT end.
Mine works fine (or has done to date) but that doesn't help you
I would suggest logging a call with TT, if only to prove how much subscription you have lost, in the event that they may refund or extend part or all of your sub.

A week has now passed and TomTom are still investigating the problem and can give me no idea when it will be fixed. |

I had this problem, telling me my subscription expired. I rang TT support and told them I needed it that afternoon because I was driving to Derby and they reinstated it within minutes giving me a year from that date, so I have had April to September free.

More than another week has gone by and still traffic is not working. They've still no idea when it will be fixed.
Does anyone know what's going on a TomTom as far as traffic is concerned? Is the traffic mender on his annual leave. Or has he left and they are looking for a replacement? Or have I been abandoned in favour of HD traffic development?
Come on TomTom sort it out! |
