I've downloaded POIs from this site onto an sd card so everytime I turn my nuvi 250 on it asks if I want to save to the unit. I would like to but only if I can remove/update the custom ones at a later time. Is this possible and how? |

From my brief sojourn into the world of Garmin, I think I remember that all this does is copy exactly the same files from the card to the internal memory.
So, if you want to update or delete them at a later date you just connect up to a PC so it sees the card and internal drive and delete the files as usual, from wherever you put them.
(Hope I'm not telling porkies too!) |

Any nuvi users able to confirm this before I hit the YES button on my 250?? |

For Info: Spoke to Garmin support this am and similar to Andy_P comments.
Whenever you save Custom POIs from the SD Card to the unit it simply overwrites the previously saved file ( if there was one ) on the unit replacing it with the current file on the SD card. you can find the custom POIs under EXTRAS in the nuvi menu. All the nuvi preloaded POIs are part of the map software and are not affected. |
