If I get an SD-less regional TT, is it nonetheless upgradable to support other regions? E.g. can I buy a new country map and swap the maps (assuming there's not enough flash inside for both at the same time) for the time I'm in the different country?
Or do I commit to the installed region forever? |

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but on my TT One in the menu it gives me the option to chose which map to use at any time I can also revert back to a previous map if I want to.
Hope this helps _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |

As long as there is sufficient memory available on the device for the map you can install it to the device, you can indeed free up additional memory by removing the map the device was pre-loaded with.
What you will not be able to do though is install the full Western Europe or North American maps as these will be too large to fit - Mike |

I couldn't find it on the TT site - is there any intication of how much flash is in the current TT ONE models, and how much is free after UK maps are present? |

If you plug it into your PC using the USB lead, it will then show-up as another drive.
So from My Computer, you will be able to see all the details that you want and need to see. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |

Still trying to decide which model to buy... |

Now I understand what you ment by "If I get a SD-Less"
Then as Mikealder points out, is the answer.
As you are only limited by the size of the drive.
I currently have 2 maps on my TT, GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE, and just Great_Britain, the total size is 333MB.
This includes a very small amount of POI's, Speed camera files but no extra voices. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |

I think it all depends on what extras you actually want with the SatNav which is the deciding point!
Do you "Want" or "Need"
To play music, look at photos, or just get from A - B? _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |

Indeed, hence why looking at 'SD-less' models to get from A to B, but figuring out what options I have *if* A and B are in a different country. ;-) |

As with most SatNavs with multiple maps, you just change maps in the menu when at the border. _________________ (If it ain't broke, I can soon fix it) |
