This map-share thing is a bit flakey, isn't it?
I've been setting-up my new 930, and the start page of TT Home is telling me that my map has not been updated for 50 weeks, and there are 32298 map-share updates waiting. When I try and download these updates, I am told that no items are available. Mmmmm. Any suggestions?
Another thing this brings to mind - my map is 50 weeks old? How can I find out how old this 930 is? I got it from Amazon.co.uk in the hope that their turnover of units would mean that I would get a fresh one, but I'm beginning to wonder. |

Hello, you are confusing the actual map data and the downloadable map corrections. The map data will be the latest available. The map corrections, the ones you download usually on a daily basis, are the ones that are out of date.
I havent got any mapshare downloads for 4 days now, i think the server is playing up. Although its happy enough to take my own corrections!
The version 8 map that came with your new 930 will be the latest, of either 8.05 or the newer 8.10. If its the older 8.05 and you started using it 30days or less ago, you are eligable for the 'latest map guarantee'. _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Which app version and map version do you have? (click on the signal icon and then on the word version). _________________ Tomtom Go 1005

Both your maps are the older ones, you should be able to upgrade both maps to the latest v805 maps using the map guarantee which is supplied free with the device.
You have 30 days from the purchase date in which to use this voucher, if it doesn't work automatically using TT Home on your PC (like it should do) then you will have to phone TomTom up (0845 161 0009) - Mike |

OK, thanks. I've only had the 930 for a day, so I'll leave it for a couple of weeks, just in case they bring out another map update. |
