I have a Dell Axim X5, with 512MB CF card, and a wired TT GPS aeriel. If I am using the "Find" function, or looking on the map, TTN3 frequently (and consistently) exits. I thought the CF card might be suspect, but it has been replaced with the same symptoms. I have just bought a USB card reader (in case it was an activesync or similar problem corrupting the maps), but the problem still persists. For example, if I "Find" Bridgwater, and then look for Bristol Road, TTN3 just "disappears", and the program is no longer running. It looks as if it has problems accessing the map data, but the card has been formatted, and I can back it all up fine. Most of the time it all works fine..! I don't use it for anything else that TTN3... Any help gratefully received!

Rather than going so far as reinstalling the application or even a hard reset, I'd start by deleting the settings files in \My Documents\TomTom Navigator Settings - which will force Navigator to build new settings files.
If these files finish up corrupt all sorts of strange things happen. Be aware that deleting these files will reset all your settings to defaults, and you will lose any Favourites.
