Hi,
I may be missing something obvious here.
I used the latest maps guarantee to donload the new Western Europe maps to my memory card. Then I started Tomtom 730 and both that and the original map were there. So far, so good.
I then moved the original map from the Tomtom unit to my HomePC to keep as a backup. Then moved the newly downloaded map from the Memory card to the internal drive in the Tomtom unit. I was hoping to free some space on the memory card for MP3s
Now, when I switch on it says "no maps found". Do I need to copy any other files/folders onto the internal drive apart from the "Western Europe, etc." folder? Or do I really need to keep two copies of the map?
Thanks |

Just a guess but you may need to go to 'Manage Maps' & specify the new location for the map |

That's what I thought. However on booting the unit it says "no maps" and I cannot get into the options screen to change this.
I've re-downloaded the latest map guarantee and now have two maps side by side. So, how do I go about deleting the old one and moving the new one to internal memory. the windows Explorer method didn't work (though I suspect I missed moving a file somewhere else) |

Have you tried using HOME to move the map from the device to the computer? _________________ TT Go Essential |

I've got a 930T and to make more room on the internal memory I just copied the US map folder to the memory card using windows explorer, I'm now able to select which map I like through the menu system. No problems with either map. |
