Thanks for all your help so far, most of it sounds too complicated for me.

I'd do it for you, but we would fall foul of copyright if I posted it anywhere on the web.
It might be OK if you emailed me the actual files you download, and I then emailed back the edited version, but I'd need one of the admin team to OK the idea first.
Also I'm away from Monday, so it would need to happen quick.
Maybe one of the team will take pity on you? |

Hi. Help,Help Help
As I am new to this I would be grateful if any one could help me.
I have got the gps programme on my computer & have unzipped them.
Now I am stuck. I have been told to manipulate England, Scotland & Wales (sorry) & download what is left but how can you tell which is which, its just a list of camera numbers.
I have also been told to delete every thing over longditude east -54000
but I cannot find anything like that.
thanks

No probs. I take it you have got as far as running POIEdit and loaded up a camera category. This will give a large space (for the map) to the left and three columns to the right (Description, Latitude and Longitude). OK so far?
To sort the cameras how you need them, click where it says the word "longitude" at the top of the list. You should then have them sorted with numbers like -5.9000 at the top going to 1.7000 at the bottom. This is basically in the order showing cameras in the west (NI) first going east to East Anglia ignoring how far north or south they are. It so happens that the line of -5.4000 is just off the coast of NI and also just off Cornwall.
If you click on a camera ID, it will show where it is on the map on the left.
The idea is to delete all the entries "after" -5.4000 on this list. This will leave you with just the NI cameras. Save this as a new file (or overwrite the original name if you want).
Please feel free to ask questions. This is an interesting one. _________________ Gerry

Thanks Gerry for getting back to me so quickly.
How do I run POI edit, & how do I load up A camera category?
The rest seems quite straight forward (famous last words)
I am sorry if these are basic questions, but I am not the most computer literate inividual, and appreciate you giving me your time.
Thanks

Hi.
Can anyone please tell me, if I delete the safety camera data base on my Navman S50 will that give me room to replace it with the GPS U.K safety camera data base?
Thanks |

Derrick, as these are new questions, you may be better off starting a new topic for them. Also, I'd say to put them in the Navman section as those that know the system would be looking there to see if there's anything they can help with. Not knowing Navman at all, there may be some FAQs at the top of that forum with the answers. _________________ Gerry
