|
|
Hi all
Just joined the speed cam database and wondered which UK ones to install on my new TomTom Go 530?
Consolidated by type: Contains one file for each type of speed camera.
Single File: Contains all the speed cameras in a single file irrespective of type.
Speed Zoned: Contains the speed cameras in individual files for each speed limit and each camera type.
Thanks |

Hi Mike,
The choice is soley yours, depending on your needs or ways you like to be alerted.
Personally, i get the "Speed Zoned: Contains the speed cameras in individual files for each speed limit and each camera type. "
I have them all set to warn on route.
It is always worth knowing what camera your up against too, hence why i get these onces.
However, i.e, if your a cabby, you might just prefer the "Single File: Contains all the speed cameras in a single file irrespective of type. "
Which you can set to warn when near one, as you might always not be bothered to set up a route, just have it on just because.
Hope that helps

|
|
Hi
I have just downloaded the latest speed camera database and installed it with no problems. However, the redlight alarms only sound for traffic lights with cameras
I have seen, perhaps an older version of the speed camera database that warns of all traffic lights.
just wondering if I have missed anything or there has been a change to the way redlights are alarmed in the new version.
Also where do I get the download for the camera capture application/plugin for a PPC (WM6) running TT6?
thanks in advance

No, you haven't missed anything - the database only warns of traffic lights with redlight/redspeed cameras:
redlight - activated when the traffic light turns red
redspeed - as above, and doubles as a speed camera when the traffic lights are green _________________ Andy

We've never had a database that recorded every redlight. Personally I have misgivings about offering redlight cameras at all but as some now have a dual redlight/speed function it was decided that they should remain.
Quite why you would need to be alerted for every redlight escapes me though? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Its an MWg Zinc-II which I mentioned in This Thread, it is time to update that thread though having used the new toy for around 6 weeks, there are some good points and bad - Mike |
