|
We're having another 'unofficial', informal get together and all our visitors are very welcome!
The date is the 6th September and the venue is:
Premier Inn
Manchester Trafford Centre West
Old Park Lane
Manchester
M17 8PG
Tel: 0870 423 6484
We are all meeting in the bar at 8.30pm
For those that want to stay overnight, there are over 100 rooms @ £63 per night per room left and it's just across one road from the Trafford Center.
Please post here to let us know if you'll be coming... _________________ Robert Brady |

MaFt and Mrs-MaFt will be there (actually, that might make people not come... maybe I should have kept quiet!)

Early days of course, but we already have 10 possibilities to attend (most who are certain they will).
If you'd prefer not to post your intention here, please use the PM button instead or just turn up on the night.

Manchester is pretty close so I'll turn up and try to put faces to names. |

Excellent! An event I haven't had to arrange myself.
I've got a note in my diary and I'll be asking the boss tonight. I'll even give Dennis a nudge as he's always a riot to have at parties
Will MaFt be bringing the entertainment? _________________ Dom

Sorry Dr Happy, we can't make it this time, previous engagement (holiday abroad booked over a year ago) - but I'll try to remember to dedicate an Amstel in the Time Out Bar in Corfu to your honour. If I can learn how to work my New Toy before we go, I'll try to send somebody an MSN whilst you're there.
At least you can draw comfort from the knowledge that my absence will probably increase the attendance many folds! And the jokes by a lot of folds too. _________________ Dennis

Yes, see you all there as I live only approx 1 mile away.
If anybody has an interest in dataloggers we can have a chat there, I use them at work for journey time stats and am always interested to discuss with other users.

Oh dear, I'm struggling with this one.
Despite having the weekend to make it to manchester, I am still working on the Saturday as well as driving abroad during the following week.
It'll be a challenge but I'm still working it out! _________________ Dom

Sorry folks, but this one I'll have to pass. We've been collered into baby sitting and just when I thought I might be able to make it.
Either way I hope you all have a jolly good time and I'll make an extra effort at the next manchester meet up. _________________ Dom

Ha ha! Reminds me of Oxford, standing at the bar looking at various dubious looking suspects. So I picked up my phone and rang Dennis and had a loud conversation over the phone like I normally would. Then the most dubious of the lot stands up, walks over and says "Hi, my name is Darren!" _________________ Dom

Oi I resemble that remark and I'm owed some sympathy as I'm laid up with a hole in my leg this weekend
My understanding of a 'minor surgical procedure' and 'keyhole' is obviously at odds with the surgeon/butcher who has dug a hole the size of a boiled egg in my leg! I feel for the poor nurse who held my hand (it was done under local) as I nearly stopped the blood flowing to her fingers! _________________ Darren Griffin |
