Via the "Quick Menu" in landscape mode.

Full screen mode is only in landscape.
Quick menu is button in bottom LH corner of map screen.

Maybe I should try version 4.4 as the author is stating below its retained in portrait mode. I would have thought he would have taken it into 4.5 also. I certainly cant get it to do it in 4.5 in portrait!
==================================================
10/08/2008 Version 4.4
- Added redesigned matching square backgrounds to the main and secondary direction icons for "Full Screen Mode" only.
- The "Full Screen Mode" setting is now retained when switching between landscape and portrait mode and is now the default mode.
- Added a "No-GPS Warning" button to the "Map" screen for the condition where there is a valid route but no GPS device available. |

I am the author.
It is only the setting which is retained not the actual full screen mode, nothing is missing in 4.5.
By the way, the latest version is 4.6.

Hey good stuff thanks for that and the Skin by the way!! It works really well for me I like it a lot, you certainly keep up to speed with it to which is good. Having looked at the landscape view I certainly like that full screen mode obviously not knowing what is involved is it not possible to have it in portrait also? I edited the sound files to add a little attention getter before the camera announcements and that works fine for me too ;-)
Would you happen to have a link to where you upload the latest versions directly as the page I see aint got 4.6 yet?
Great work thanks

I've been asked for this many times but what you actually need in portrait mode is more width not height. Increasing the height just gives you more sky which looks pretty but is no use for navigation. Then you have to add more information across the bottom and side of the screen so after all that you actually get less useful map area than before.
