Sorry I cant do a dump of the tomtom graphic for here but there is a tiny "break" in a road that I use regularly.
Because of this "break" it never takes me that way. Really annoying
I use mapshare all the time but I'm fairly sure this is not possible to fix.
I've had my one for a month so the map should be fairly up to date.
Some clever type please look here: N51.78744 W1.46697
My specs are one V3 running v8.010 uk +roi v710.1571

It is exactly the same on the very latest map (v7 and v8).
What you could do is set up a favourite location either side of the road break and plan your route then press Find Alternate/ Travel Via/ Favourite and select the favourite location on the approaching side of the road. The device will then route you to the break in the road, once you pass this point it will re-plan and compute the rest of the journey without a problem or intervention
Incidentally if you have only had the device for one month you should have been offered the v720 map as part of the free map guarantee system TomTom have in place.
Nice village near that location, I have spent quite a few nights in and around that area - Mike |

Thought the map looked familiar. I've dug those roads up!! But I put it all back - no gap in the road when I left it!! ![Smile](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

They'll probably fix it and release a new model number especially for it (550,750 and 950), ignoring the current owners. |

Actually, the missing bit of road i mentioned is fixed in the upcoming map release. To see, check my co-ordinates on a sat nav, then stick the same co-ordinates into google maps, finally fixed!! ![Smile](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Yay, £80 to fix something they c0cked up in the first place.
I'm a bit anti TomTom of late after suffering their poxy customer 'service' and shoddy Home software. |

But if you look at the bottom bit of road (below the break) you can see it is indeed the same road with the same name Jubilee Way !
Anyone got any idea how this probably 8 ft bit of road is missing ?
And even more importantly from the teleatlas data ?
A bit of dust on the lens ? !
Cleggy
ps No even using home and latest map gaurantee I never got offered it ???? (Not that it would fix it anyway !) |

Ok I've completed step one. What a load of hassle !
After speaking to Tomtom in Holland they emailed and asked for a few (ahem) additional details re the latest map guarantee not working for me when I bought the beast recently. Apparently the guarantee not working has only affected a few peeps ......
Firstly they wanted a scan of the receipt (I took a macro photo of it (hope that will suffice)) then they wanted 2 screen dumps taken from within TT Home, one of the map guarantee saying I already have the latest map, and another showing the map version, then attach all 3 to a customer query form from within their website.
Luckily I'm PC savvy, but for say my mother to do what I have had to do - NO chance !
This is all to go from 710 to 720 map version and the guy said on the phone that it wouldnt be guaranteed as he had to go through his boss, who would inturn have to speak to someone else.
I won't give up tho !

Daft isn't it, but I'm afraid these ARE the standard hoops they expect people to jump through, when it goes wrong for those "few" people we keep hearing from! ![Laughing](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif) |

Quick update - I have heard nothing yet but my message receipt on tomtom.com still says DEVELOPMENT.
As promised I will let all know what the final outcome is. Mind you the message is dated 18.08.08 so dont wait up for it !
Also regarding this matter of the gap in the road, I have a Nokia N95 and checking the same piece of road on it (god its awful - let me tell you !!!) via Nokia Maps (Free !!) there is no trace of the gap. I even drove along it today with the phone just to make sure. Maybe its the fact that Nokia use Navteq mapping ??
