Hi
I have set up a personal POI file with regular address I go to I use the same POI file on a TT rider 2 and a HP Travel companion
In the travel companion I can scroll through all the POIs (5 pages) but on the Rider I can only scroll 4 pages, however I can use the find button to find the missing ones.
Rider is GPS v 1.21 boot 5.5012 Maps V720.1803
HP is GPS 1.20 Maps V650.1136
Is this a software limitation or a problem with the file

It's not a software limitation as such because originally you COULD scroll through them all on a TomTom too (on v6 software I think).
I've no idea why TomTom changed it in later software versions, so now you only see the nearest 24 to whatever place you've chosen (near home, on route, near city etc.); but as you say, at least the "find" function still searches the entire list. |

Semantics, my dear boy!
What I meant was that the software is CAPABLE of showing more than the 24 it does at the moment, but they DECIDED to restrict it like that.
Any thoughts I may have that they have done it to help disguise how few POIs some of their categories contain, is purely speculative! |

Hi
Thanks at least I know its not a problem with the file now. I guess that's why there is a find function in the later versions that is not available in version 6
Not sure as this is an improvement but well as long as it works
Cheers
