|
|
As a complete beginner I need help setting up IE on my Medion PDA. I've subscribed to POI handler, but can't get my pda to sync with their sites, I'm getting a message from them saying I'm not registered which I am and they've confirmed I am, hence why I think it's explorer.
To make matters worse I've got a brand new PC (still learning) and I'm on NTL broadband which is also new to me.
Any help/suggestions gratefully received.
Regards

First things first, can you browse and access websites using Internet Explorer on your Medion PDA when it is docked? If not ensure that your desktop Active Sync Client is set to allow Internet Pass-Thru, Tools | Options | Rules - Pass Through 'Internet'. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Well Darren, I made the changes you suggested, don't seem to be able to to view websites and there's no sign of my mails either, but I have ben able to download some poi's which is what I wanted, so it seems to have done the trick.
Top banana.
Regards

Try going into internet explorer on your PC and look in tools, internet options, connections. There should be an option somewhere with a tick box saying auto detect settings or similar - remove the tick and see if it works. It did for me.
Sorry it's a bit vague but I'm on a very old NT PC here so can't check

That won't have any affect on IE access from the PocketPC. _________________ Darren Griffin |
